Celebration of the Arts - March 14, 2015

Children's Museum of Virginia - Portsmouth, Va

This family fun day filled with performances by Young Audiences of Virginia, arts activities for all ages, and other educational entertainment for the family! Teachers will be admitted for free with proper ID, and will even have the opportunity to sign up for an on-site YAV Professional Development session on interactive learning through the arts. The Arts Are Wild! - May 2, 2015

Virginia Zoo - Norfolk, Va

The Arts Are Wild is an awareness event designed to call attention to the importance of literacy and good reading habits at home. Attendees will enjoy performances by YAV artists, hands-on activities at the many "Literacy Exploration Stations," meet and greet with an award-winning author, as well as visit all the many animal exhibits the Virginia Zoo has to offer! Teacher Institute - June 25-26, 2015

Old Dominion University - Norfolk, Va

A professional development conference for educators, teaching Pre-K through 12th grade students in core curriculum and art classrooms. Educators will be able to explore techniques to enhance performance, learning, retention, motivation, and more!
