Experience the arts of the world, live and in person with Young Audiences assembly performances and workshops. Balancing learning and artistry, our carefully crafted programs provide students with excitement, interactivity, education, and entertainment from professional artists. Your students will have so much fun they might not realize they’re learning!

   We understand the pressure many schools feel around test scores and students having productive time-on-task. That’s why we ensure that all of our programs are aligned to Virginia’s Standards of Learning. Our programs are designed to provide a dynamic and memorable introduction to SOL topics or to offer a pre-test refresher to students on topics they have already studied. Our 130 programs utilize dance, theatre, music, storytelling and even magic to cover areas in social studies, language arts, science, math, and multicultural exploration.

   Scheduling & Special Projects Director, Anna Heywood Green, is an expert at helping you select just the right program for your school's needs. Our catalog is rich and diverse and our scheduling team asks just the right questions to help make the process of selecting a program easy. We provide arts programming to over 235,000 children across Virginia every year so we must be doing something right. Our teachers, principals, and PTA leaders tend to be repeat customers because we make them look like heroes in their own school. Great programs with no problems—who wouldn't want that?

4. We Make It Affordable!
   At a time when gas prices are cutting into or completely eliminating field trips for students, YAV comes to the rescue with live arts performances that come right to your school—no school bus required! This keeps these amazing arts-integration performances affordable. In addition, we work with schools to help secure funding for programs and we offer school systems a flexible way to provide programming to their schools without needing additional personnel to manage the process.
