Companion Residencies

Arts for Learning Companion Residencies for Students

  • A "residency" is a sequential series of workshop sessions that allow students to explore an art form and the related literacy skills with a professional teaching artist.
  • Residencies can be presented in as little as 5-6 one-hour sessions.
  • Each Residency culminates in an exhibition or performance to allow students to share their experience with parents and the community.
  • A4L Residencies can accompany A4L Units or stand alone.
  • Residencies also make great after school programs.
