Pricing

• Applies to daytime, in-school performance(s).
• Catalog prices reflect YAV's underwriting support.

Discounts (limit of one discount per booking)

• Book, Pay Play: Book by September 7th, pay by October 12th for a service to take place by December 31st and save 10%.
• Back-to-Back: End of 1st show and start of 2nd must be less than 45 minutes apart.
• Book onto a Tour: Reduced fees for filling tours outside of artists' home base.
• Multiple Bookings: Book 4 or more performances at the same site (does not have to be same day)!

Additional fees will be added to the following:

• YAV reserves the right to negotiate a higher fee for any performances taking place in the evening or for the general public.
• Last minute cancellations (within 72 hours of the event).
• A 5% fee will be added for credit card payments.
• Large audiences:
  Performances -$50 for every 100 students above the maximum allowed

  Workshops - $50 for every 20 student above the maximum allowed

Payment

• Must be postmarked no later than three (3) days after your event.

Artist Availability

• Artist availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to book the performer of your choice, please schedule early.
• YAV works hard to build tours and secures artists to reach the entire state of Virginia, however, geographic limitations may apply to a service you request.
• Please note that YAV guest artists from around the country have limited availability. Specific schedules are listed with each guest artist program - book early!

Audience
Audience size shall not exceed:

• 15-30 for a workshop (unless otherwise noted)
• 200 for a solo artist (unless otherwise noted)
• 350 for an ensemble (unless otherwise noted)
• Artists reserve the right to not perform if the audience size is above the maximum noted with each program.
• A $50 fee will be charged for every 100 students in attendance for a performance and every 20 students in attendance at a workshop over the published limits.

Safety Policy

• It is Young Audiences' policy that a teacher, school employee, or other responsible adult representing the site must be present in the room at all times during the program.
• YAV artists reserve the right to terminate a program if a school representative is not present or if students are rude or disruptive. School staff are expected to manage student behavior during the program.
• Thank you for your attention to this serious issue relating to the safety of all students involved.

Confirmation

• Confirmation will be sent to you within 10 days of booking your service.
• All confirmations are considered binding, legal documents that serve as your invoice and provide important information regarding the performance.
• Please be sure to read artist technical requirements and any special notes.
• If you do not receive your confirmation, please notify the main office/scheduling center at (1-800-314-ARTS).

Rescheduling Cancellations

• Cancellations taking place within 72 hours of the event will require full or partial payment.
• Programs cancelled by the site/contact at any time after the written confirmation is sent may otherwise be subject to full or partial payment.
• Rescheduling/Cancellations on the part of YAV, the site/contact, or the artist due to illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, will entitle you to your choice of rescheduling the event or using a substitute artist/ensemble.
• Programs that must be rescheduled, on behalf of the site/contact, must be rescheduled within the same school year.

Publicity and Documentation:

• Artist(s) and ensembles listed in this catalog are YAV performers and must be advertised as such in all publicity in order to take advantage of the prices listed in our catalog.
• Any print materials featuring YAV or a YAV artist/program should be submitted to Young Audiences of Virginia for approval.
• All access to artist(s) for publicity purposes must go through the YAV Scheduling Department.
• Any video documentation must be pre-approved by Young Audiences of Virginia.
• The taking of photographs during a performance or workshop is at the discretion of the artist and must be approved by artist prior to performance.
  

Failure to follow these procedures negates your performance agreement and all prices quoted. YAV reserves the right to charge full price for this program under the circumstances mentioned above.
